Return-To-Play Protocol for Covid-19, November 2020
General Guidance to help prevent the spread of Coronavirus
- Everyone must wear a cloth face covering/mask at all times, except when players are actively playing on the court. All players on the bench, coaches, and score-keepers must have masks on at all times, no exceptions. Everyone must wear masks as they enter and exit the buildings/gyms.
- The cloth face covering or mask is not a substitute for social distancing. Whenever possible, people should maintain at least 6 feet distance from others.
- Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after having been in a public place. If soap and water are not readily available, use hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 percent alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry. Players should bring their own hand sanitizer to all activities, and coaches must bring hand sanitizer to all practices and games.
- Any0ne not feeling well should absolutely NOT attend practices, games, or other Hoopsters activities at any time. Notification should be made to your coach whenever your child is not feeling well and cannot attend (more details regarding specific symptoms screening are below).
- Players and coaches, should bring their own personal drinks to all team activities. Drinks should be labeled with the person’s name and there may be no sharing of drinks or snacks during Hoopsters activities.
- Individuals should take their own drink containers home each night for cleaning and sanitation or use single-use bottles.
- Failure to follow these guidelines will result in immediate ejection from a practice or game by a coach or other Hoopsters officials. Repeat failure to follow guidelines will result is ejection from the program.
- All players and volunteers must sign a Covid-19 waiver prior to be allowed to participate in any Hoopsters activities.
- Cases among players, coaches, or volunteers must be reported immediately to allow for appropriate contact tracing by authorities.
